We walked out of the Den with an offer from Touker Suleyman.
30 September 2026
It’s real. It happened. The country has now seen it. And we’re still slightly floating.
On Friday night, millions of people watched us – Craig and Kasia, the husband-and-wife team behind Fayre Play – step out of that lift, pitch the business we built from scratch, and face the full force of the Dragons’ questioning.
And then they watched Touker Suleyman make us an offer of investment. And they watched us say yes.
If you missed it, do yourself a favour: watch the episode is on BBC iPlayer now. We’ll wait. (We’ve watched it an embarrassing number of times already.)
What that moment was actually like
People keep asking if the Den is as intense as it looks. Honest answer: more. There are no second takes, no friendly warm-up – just you, your numbers, and some of the sharpest investors in Britain deciding what they think of everything you’ve ever built, out loud, in front of you.
So to stand in that room and hear an investor of Touker’s calibre say he wanted in – after the questions, after the scrutiny, after everything – was the strongest validation we could have asked for. We founded Fayre Play in 2023 with a simple idea: bring the nostalgia and competitiveness of the traditional fairground into a modern night out. Hearing a Dragon back that idea, on that stage, is a moment we’ll carry for the rest of our lives.

The response since? Overwhelming.
Our comms genuinely haven’t stopped. Messages, bookings, emails, people walking into our venues quoting the episode at us – from all three cities and well beyond. We built this as an independent business from scratch, and seeing the public get behind what we’ve created means absolutely everything.
To our team across Glasgow, Edinburgh and Newcastle, who kept the secret for the best part of a year: you are remarkable, and that was your pitch up there too.
And to the 300,000+ people who’ve walked through our doors and built this business one night out at a time – thank you. Genuinely. None of it exists without you.
So what’s next?
Now we get back to doing what we do best:
๐ช Come see what the fuss is about โ games, cocktails, street food, and plushie ducks that must be won, never given. Book โ Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle.
๐ Christmas is filling up fast. We’re heading into our busiest festive season ever, and December dates are going daily. If your works do or friend crew’s annual get-together deserves better this year โ Festive Group Bookings
๐ Watching from somewhere we haven’t reached yet? Gift cards travel better than giant ducks โ Glasgow, Edinburgh , Newcastle
We’ve got big ambitions for where we take Fayre Play next – and after Friday night, we’ve never been more sure of them. Watch this space.
Thank you for watching. Thank you for everything before it.
Craig & Kasia x
