Where are you located/ how do I get there?
You can find our fun-filled venue inside The Gate on Newgate Street, just up on the first floor!
We’re less than a 10 minute walk from Newcastle Train Station, and only a 15 minute taxi from Newcastle International airport
Alternatively, there are various bus routes that stop near our venue, or you can hop in an Uber/ Taxi from anywhere in the city.

Do you have gluten free/veggie/vegan options?
We have something for everyone here at Fayre Play! We can make alterations to some dishes to make them gluten free for our coeliac pals, and we have some bangin’ veggie & vegan options too.
Do you do NHS/Blue Light discount?
We offer our game play tickets and selected packages at a discounted price for NHS and Blue Light staff.
These tickets are valid on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, and can be booked using the discount code NHSBLUESAVE
Please remember to bring valid ID along, as we’ll need to check it when you arrive. Max. 4 guests per ID.
Can someone under 18 come along?
Although we’re all big kids here at Fayre Play, we operate a strict adults only policy from 6pm in our Newcastle venue, so anyone under 18 will need to exit the venue by this time
Children’s tickets and packages are suitable for 7+ years and available 11:00am-6.00pm with last booking for games at 4.30pm. These must be purchased with a valid adult ticket, with a max. limit of 3 children per adult.
Please note that as we operate under a Challenge-25 policy, you may be asked for ID upon entry. In accordance with licencing guidelines we accept Passports and Drivers Licences as valid forms of ID.
What form of payment should I bring?
Our venues only accept card or contactless payments, so there’s no need to bring cash with you on the day. Worried about splitting the bill? We can process separate card payments for you, no bother.
How does your pricing work?
All of our tickets are priced per person, so you’ll need to add on a ticket or package for everyone you’d like to attend.
To redeem NHS or other ticket discounts you will need to show appropriate ID upon entry. Failure to do so may incur an additional fee in line with standard ticket pricing.
Do you accept walk-ins?
Walk-ins are more than welcome! If you’re part of a larger group, or need a specific arrival time, we advise booking in advance to avoid disappointment.
Please note, spaces tend to fill up on Fridays & Saturdays so we advise booking ahead to guarantee your space.
I’m running late - can I still play?
If you’re more than 15 minutes late, we’re afraid we can’t guarantee you a new slot. Please chat to our friendly front desk team when you arrive, and they’ll be more than happy to confirm if there are any alternative slots available.
If you prefer, we can reschedule your booking to an alternative date. Just send us your booking reference along with your preferred slot, and we’ll amend your booking.
How long does it take?
On average, it takes about 90 minutes to play through 2 rounds of our 9 fairground-inspired games. Please note, gameplay on peak days can take longer due to increased queue times.
Larger groups (9 or more) should expect a slightly longer play-through time, of around 2-2.5 hours.
If you book one of our food packages, or plan to grab food during your visit, it will typically add another 30-60 minutes onto your time.
If you’d like to hang out with us for longer, we’re happy to have you! We have a seating area where you can kick back and relax after the games, or the opportunity to buy extra game tokens if you’re not quite ready to call it quits.
Can I order food and drink with my booking?
Yes! If you’d like to skip the hassle on the day, you can purchase our “Games, Food & 2 Drinks Package” which gets you:
- All the games, twice over
- 2 drinks (including cocktails)
- Any main dish + fries

How do your package tokens work?
Our Drink Tokens can be used to purchase any drink from the bar, selected cocktails included, with the exception of double measures and large wines.
If you order a mocktail or soft drink with your token, please ask your server who will be able to give you ‘change’ for a second alcohol-free drink free of charge.
Our Food Tokens can be used to order any of our main food items, plus a side of either house fries or onion rings only. Customers looking to upgrade to our premium side options are able to do so for an additional fee.

How can I win a prize?
Whilst our focus is more about having fun playing our games against your pals, we do have a variety of prizes available for only the sharpest of shooters!
You can have a go at winning one of our duck plushies by collecting prize stamps. To be in with a shot you’ll need to achieve over a certain number of points at each game. (Difficulty level: ducking hard!)
